Established in 1999 by Paul Maguire, Glendeal have become one of the largest brickwork contractors in the Scottish house building sector.

1980s

Paul is a time served bricklayer having learned the trade with a local bricklaying company in the 1980s. Paul moved to and worked in the south of England from 1988-1991 where he gained experience working on numerous sites.

1995

From 1995 onwards, Paul became involved in property development, successfully completing projects to the highest of standards.

1997

Having identified the opportunities within the ever-growing housebuilding sector in central Scotland, Paul branched into brickwork sub contracting. Following success in this venture, Paul founded Glendeal Brickwork and also branched wider into the land and property development markets.

2000s

Glendeal have gone from strength to strength and grown to become established as the premier provider of brickwork services to new build sites in the region.

As part of the success story, Glendeal have become an established land and property developer, working to help customers achieve their dreams of owning self-build property through development of land, groundwork and building.

2022

Having enjoyed much success in the brickwork field Glendeal have decided to venture into the roughcasting market also. Glendeal promise to offer the same level of service and quality that their clients have become accustom to while offering the very attractive and unique dual package.

David Blair joined the business as Operations Director, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge in the construction industry. David had previously spent two decades working in management roles with two five-star house builders.

2025

As part of The Glendeal Group’s continuous growth, David Blair has taken on the role of Managing Director of Glendeal Brickwork & Scotland. Paul Maguire remains actively involved in the business as Group Managing Director. His primary focus is growing and expanding all areas of The Glendeal Group, while maintaining the high quality of service that our clients have become accustomed to.
